Flaming Gorge

Usually after our annual family reunion we head further north and stay a few days in Green River and play out on the lake at Flaming Gorge. We spend the day enjoying the sun, (or like this time... the lack there of) playing on the boat, tubing, knee boarding, 4-wheeling, and enjoying good food and company. Most times the wind kicks up in the afternoon and we have to head back early. But this year we were lucky enough to play the entire two days we were there
and
we LOVED it.

Skipping rocks.

Abi did NOT like the 4-wheeler.

Oh Megan & Kenna. These two are inseparable when they get together.

My dear husband took a 4-wheeler out and was gone for what seemed like forever. We finally located him but found that he had gotten the 4-wheeler stuck in a big mud pit.

This girl, my cousin Summer, was kind enough to pull him out... :) As you can tell they both got a little dirty.

Skipping rocks.

Watching the boys skip rocks.

Sure do love this big smile.
I was too worried to take the camera on the boat so there are very few pictures. But I did want to add that poor Abi did not like the boat however it sure did put her to sleep like a charm. :)

Sunscreen

Poor girl got sunscreen in her eyes after being at the lake all day. I felt so bad. There's nothing more terrible than watching your child suffer and not being able to make it go away.

After bathing and trying to wash the sunscreen out we watched "Santa Clause" (her favorite movie at the time) to help her forget about her eyes. We had a few others who came to join in.
By morning she was all better.
Thankfully.
:)

This little house...

At Uncle Mike and Aunt Jackie's they had a little play house outside in the front yard that I think Abi would have lived in if I had let her.

Every morning that we were there she would wake up and immediately ask to go outside and play. She would ask everyone she could to come inside and sit down on the tiny yellow chairs. Ashton would join her and the two of them would have a ball together. I loved watching the smiles on her face and the excitement of playing peek-a-boo with the windows.

She didn't seem to care much when we left and probably wont be able to remember how much fun she had but... I couldn't let go of how much she loved playing in it. So, let's just say we can't wait to see the look on her face Christmas morning and that we put in a good word with Santa back in September. ;)

Grandpa's Garden

This is my grandfather. Charles Vernon Jensen. I love his tan leathery skin and wrinkled face. :) When we were little we all called him Tickle Grandpa. He's a sweet old man who loves his garden. Any time we visit in Wyoming we LOVE to raid it!

Mmm radishes!
I loved watching him work. I could tell how much pride he has in his not so small garden. :)

On the side of the house is one of the best parts of the whole garden... the raspberry patch!!!
Abi LOVED them.

She loved that she could pick them herself.

Taking some berries from Great-Grandpa.

No need to wash them. Just pick and eat.

Miss Em with her loot of carrots.

Dean Machine with more carrots.

David loved the garden too. I'm sure he could have stayed back there all day.

Mr. Kenny looking for more carrots.
Emily was so cute with Abi. She wanted to help her do everything and Abi was more than willing to let her.

"Mom look!" She was so proud and loved to pick the different veggies.

TOO CUTE!!!!!

Helping Grandpa.

Enjoying a tasty carrot.

Mr. Dean waiting patiently. We would put everything in these big buckets and fill it up with water to clean them.

In the raspberry patch.

We loved this day. There's nothing better then spending the day outside in the garden eating, picking and cleaning the fresh food with family.
