It's safe to say...

Abigail is walking!
She's choosing more and more to walk instead of crawl and I am wondering what have I gotten myself into?! :) But I must say I feel such a sense of pride when she learns to do new things.

She has also learned a new phrase. Which is so hilarious! Enjoy the video and please forgive my terrible video taking skills.

School Bus

Two blog posts in one day! I know, I should get sick more often. :)
We're not usually home in the afternoons together but today we were lucky and got to watch the school bus drop off a neighbor boy. Our windows were open and Abigail heard all the fuss. She crawled as fast as she could to peer out the window on her tip toes. I realized as I sat there watching her amazement at the big bus, that (hopefully) someday I'll be doing this with another little one. He or she will be eagerly awaiting the arrival of their big sister from school. They would be waiting for Abigail.
I was overwhelmed with how grateful I am to be a mother. What a special calling it is to be a woman, a wife, a mother.

Pure joy on her face. :)

Breakfast Feat & Smiles!

We've been sick around here the last few days which equates to zero sleep. So really I should be sleeping during nap time right now, but I couldn't help share the smiles we had during breakfast this morning.

I've been hesitant to give Abi her own plate due to the fact that she usually stuffs everything she can into her mouth at one time. But today I was feeling adventurous and decided to try again. Much to my surprise she paced her self AND learned how to use a fork. Woohoo! As you can see she enjoyed as much nutella and pancake in her belly as she did on her face. Sweet baby!

Finger licken' good!

Nutella Filled German Pancakes

Ingredients:

3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
butter (6 thin slices)
6 tsp. Nutella

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Place butter slices in muffin pan and place in oven to melt butter. Whip eggs then add milk, flour, salt and sugar to eggs and mix with whisk until well combined. Remove pan from oven and pour egg mixture into muffin tins until approx. 2/3 full. (This recipe yields exactly 6 pancakes, so I fill the tins until there is no more batter left.) Bake for 10 minutes. (They will look huge and the batter will almost double in size but don't worry the batter shouldn't spill out and once out of the oven they will shrink back down.) Remove from oven and fill each pancake with a teaspoon of Nutella. Enjoy!
